Hi I'm looking at the EDF energy prices as I need to go with them due to new rental contract
What's the best one to be on at the moment?
I can see they are offering 3 tariffs: standard, Fixed to Mar 2013 and Fixed to June 2014. the standard seems to be cheapest but obviously can be hiked.
I work full time so spend most of my days at work and my partner is working 3 days at work and one day at home. our new small 2 bed flat is power by electric only.
any advise would be great

OK as you know you are stuck with EDF when you move in, but if you ask them they will tell you how many Gas/Elec Kwh the previous occupier used a year.
Then armed with these figures you can go to the Switch sites and get Tariffs & Prices from the whole market0 -
Why are you stuck with EDF 'due to new rental contract'? Your LL cannot unreasonably withold permission to switch suppliers, even if they've written it into your AST. Your account, your bills, your choice. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

However (unless things have changed recently), the tenant must inform the landlord and change it back to the original supplier before they leave.0 -
Could you provide some evidence to back that statement up?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Yes I can. I suggest you try using a search engine, Google is a popular choice. If your request had been more polite and less challenging then I might have supplied you with a link, as it is, look it up for yourself.
So, in final answer to your question, yes I can and no I won't.0 -

My statement is impolite? You must have led a very sheltered life. As for challenging, what exactly is your objection to that? You made an unsupported claim, and I asked you to back it up.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
