Hi all,
I'm not very good with money. I'm an ex bankrupt with a small income and we've got 3 children, so I'm generally spending more than i save. I want to build up a deposit for a rented house in case our landlord ever sells (it has happened to us twice before so I'd like to be prepared). I need to build up a minimum total of 700, saving a maximum of 50 per month. I am terrible at saving because if something requires paying for, I'll dip into it and then it's gone. I don't have the minimum required to open a 1year fixed account, anyone know of any suitable accounts for me without instant access please?

I think there are some regular savings accounts which don't allow access.

Could also consider notice accounts, though some allow instant access with a penalty.0 -
I would get a regular saver account eg Skipton BSoc have a regular saver paying 5% pa where you can deposit up to £250 per month
http://www.skipton.co.uk/savings_and_investments/savings_accounts/special_edition_regular_saver/.
The account matures after 1 year.God save the King!
I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.0 -
Any idea if there's a way around the Skipton account being opened in a branch?0
