Asda Irvine changing area - horrible!

Went for a jaunt up the road to Irvine today, and went to the cafe for a cuppa and to feed the LO. Of course, as small babies tend to need changed often, I went in search of the nearest changing room. Wish I'd gone to the Tesco up the road instead!
The changing table was grotty and filthy, I felt bad putting him on it, even though his skin wasn't going to touch it. There was no paper to put down as I've seen in most other changing areas. The whole place seemed to be a storage space for the large bins, as there were four of them taking up about a quarter of the space. I went to put the nappy in and it was almost full! This bin was about 2 1/2 to 3ft tall, so virtually impossible to fill in a morning, so I'm guessing it hadn't been emptied in days, even weeks (I didn't dare to open the other ones).
I'm glad I didn't need the loo, I dread to think what the ladies was like!
In comparison, the changing area in Ayr was lovely, spacious, clean, had nappies and wipes provided and one of the better ones I've seen.

Should have passed on the comment to the staff at the customer service desk - i know some of them very well and know atleast two of them would have been disgusted with the state of them & had them cleaned immediately! (depending on who was on at the time)Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

I happened to nip to the loo in this particular store last weekend. Not only grotty but laid out horribly, where there were several ladies queueing/squashed up against the sink area, all looking miserable.
In contrast, the bogs at our local Asda are nice & spacious, always clean, with maybe 4 or 5 cubicles and a good sized sink and dryer area - Irvine's had 2 cubicles and no room to swing a cat in. Wasn't pleasant....0 -
Glad I didn't need the loo then!
Bluenoseam - If it weren't for OH being so desperate to leave (and tbh I couldn't blame him), I would have."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
