There is a lot of attractions around. I found nice hotel in old town for £75 (2 nights) - bus from airport is going to old town as well. If weather is nice I can go for one of the boat trips, evening definitely in old town - a lot of nice restaurants!

good point Incapuppy. Perhaps something with even the slightest relevance to the thread to which they attach it might help. I particularly enjoyed the recent spam relating to holidaying in India which kept popping up! Perhaps they could add it to this discussion on Croatia - no one would ever suspect.

Just back from Zadar.
Perfect plece for shortbreak. Old town is amazing, a lot of restaurant, lovely food. Below some info:
- From airport you can take bus. Bus is stopping on bus station and in harbor ( old town ) One way ticket cost 25 kuna (£2). Travel time: 20-30 minutes.
Second option is cab. Cost from 150 to 250 kunas. But we found web: http://www.lulic.hr/taxi/en/zadar-taxi-online-reservation/ and travel to old town cost us 110 kunas (£9)
You can book cab online, driver is waiting on airport. So for 4 people is better to take cab instead bus. Driving time 10-15 minutes.
Prices in Zadar old town:
- restaurants:
coffee 5-20 kuna (£0,5 - £1,5) ice creams 5-35 (£0,50 - £3) beer (0,5l) 10-20 kuna (£1 - £2), wine (bottle) 50-200 kuna (£5-£15), pizza 50-100 kuna (£5-£10) Grilled fish and meat 50-150 kuna ( £5-£15)
Shops with food / drinks are open till Mon-Sat till 9PM Sunday till 4PM.
Entry for Tower of cathedral St. Stošija is cost 10 kuna - £1 and is really worth to visit.
