You might think this is an odd question - bear with me I am new to this painting malarky:D I will soon have my own home and know that various rooms need redecoration - the kitchen has anaglypta wallpaper on one wall which has been painted a horrible maroon colour (it makes the kitchen too dark). Even if you don't have asthma, it's always better to wear a mask when sanding. I know a lot of professionals don't but they're taking a risk.
