Best Android Tablet

Hi,
I am looking to buy a good value tablet (android based obviously), so ipad is ruled out.
It is meant to be shared between my 6 year old daughter and my wife, mainly to be used for fun, learning/ education and browsing.
I am a bit confused with the enormous choice of brands & configuration online.
Could someone please recommend a few good ones out here?
I would like to have atleast wifi, bluetooth and a camera.
Thanks.

From my experience so a good quality andriod based "alternative" eg a 10in screen, capacitive touch screen technology etc etc then you'll end up at around the same price as an ipad...
Such things as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Transformer will set you back about the same...
There are other andriod based tabs out there, ive seen a 7inch screen one for as little as £50 but the build quality is something less than desirable and the cheap ones ive tried are slow and stuttery and usually have resistive screens which means you have to press really hard..in fact Ive tried a cheap 7in andriod tab which required the use of a stylus...epic...0 -
When you say good value, define the budget.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

Motorola xoom are good I got one last month battery lasts around 9-10 hours. I got mine for £350 32gb but I think they are more now. Loads were sold to guys on hotkudeals site from Currys/Dixons on offer hopefully them might come down again
Xoom has 5MP camera, wifi, gps and bluetooth and can easily be set up as a satnav with free software0 -
Acer ICONIA TAB gets my vote:

I second the Iconia - great little tab with a lot of connectivity. OK, it is bigger than a lot, but it is still very easy to carry around at does the job wonderfully. I have never regretted buying my Iconia (I have the A500).What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I wouldn't sat the iPad is bad value - as others have said similar Android tablets usually end up costing the same. Having said that there is probably more choice with android tablets. When I was looking I considered the Motorola Xoom 2 and the the eepad transformer prime. The latter is almost like a notebook once you've connected the keyboard so it seems more flexible.
In the end I went for the iPad because there are more tablet specific apps when compared with Android.0 -
Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, I am not keen on spending ipad money as I bought 3 laptops last year but did not realise that this tablet trend will take over my family's minds.
Regarding price and examples, how about this:

Can you please take a look and advise one of there or any more options?

Hi,
if you decide on the MiniGadget one, cheaper here £59.99 and free postage, they also do a £99.99 one.0 -
The £59.99 from MiniGadget has a resistive touch screen = bad, you'll have to press very hard for it to recognise input from the user, it also only has a 800Mhz processor which will be painfully slow on such a device.
The £99.99 is slightly better.
In both cases I cannot see if they support bluetooth as requested by the OP.0 -
I have this one http://www.storageoptions.com/products/scroll/tablets/scroll-excel Responsive screen, and fast enough for browsing, games etc. Has android market, unlike some, nut no bluetooth. There's a 10" option too I think. Was recommended by gadget show over xmas0
