Moneysupermarket cancelled my move to new supplier
Last summer I used Money supermarket to find as new joint gas & Electric deal. I was with British Gas. I chose to move to EDF. After about two months with very little news I went on the EDF web site managed to access my account and discovered that only my gas was transferred. Moneysupermarket had contacted EDF and told them to cancel the switch ! I have had to ask EDF to try again, which they have, but as yet I do not know why Moneysupermarket sabotaged my deal. Any ideas ?

did EDF actually say it was due to moneysupermarket? seems odd, old suppliers have the right to object to a transfer from going through but I can't see why a switch site would.
The only reason I can possibly think of is if there was something wrong with the transfer information and this was picked up on - i.e. the incorrect supply number being used for the switch. if they noticed a problem with the details then i suppose it would make sense to cancel the transfer.I am an employee of British Gas but all views i write are personal and not a reflection of my employer.0 -
If you read the (many) other threads on here about EDF - you will quickly realise that it is far more likely that EDF mucked up the transfer;highly unlikely to be anything to do with Moneysupermarket!!!!0
