PPI Claim for MBNA

I've been contacted by The Entitlements Agency and they reckon there is a good chance that my MBNA card and a bank loan I had may have had PPI on. I read on some forums about The Entitlements Agency and about how I could do this myself. In the meantime I rung MBNA and asked them directly if I had PPI - they said no and that I had never had it - Ive had the card for about 13 years. I rung The entitlements Agency to say I didn't want to use them and that I had rung MBNA - and then they said that MBNA had probably lied to me and that they were one of the worst offenders. What should I do - is it worth pursuing or would they have been honest with me?

I thought I didn't have PPI on my MBNA card but I sent a SAR to MBNA just before Xmas anyway. They were extremely quick returning all the info, and despite me ticking the box I didn't want it on my application, they applied it anyway for approximately 3 years.
I wrote a letter of complaint and had an offer letter the following week, and a cheque came through last week.
Very quick turn around from complaining to getting the cheque, and I'm very glad I sent the SAR as I would never have known they'd incorrectly applied PPI to my card.
It's got to be worth a shot, but don't use one of the PPI reclaim companies, it's very easy to do yourself.0 -
Agree with Starb 100%, do the reclaim yourself,do a SAR,this will get all info they hold on you,do you not have any statements that show ppi for the card?if you had ppi on the card it will be on every months statement you get,if there is none, then you do not have ppi.

Enclose £10 and give them 40 days to respond.
To do a claim for mis sell all you need are reasons and the account numbers, the CC account is the card number.
If you have ppi and were mis sold then put a claim in.0
