How many competitions do you enter?

I try not to spend more than an hour a day entering competitions because otherwise I probably wouldn't get around to doing anything else.0

Hi everyone,
I was reading Martin's Comping tips and really fancied having a go! However I just wanted some advice in terms of how many competitions do you generally enter a day? Or how many hours a day/week do you put into it?
I work full time so I'd probably only be able to put in a few hours a week realistically. Are my chances of winning slim?

I am currently out of work, but I am looking for work. So I have plenty of time to enter comps. For me its not about how many I can enter, but just about killing some time. ATM I enter 75-150 a day (that includes my daily entries), but I imagine once I do find a job it will drop dramatically to about 300 a week which is fine by me as its not the end of the world if I dont enter that much in a day. Of course the more time you put into it, the more comps you will enter which will of course mean the more likely you are to win some.
I just think of it as a hobby which is something to do in my spare time. Every win is a bonus and I am also genuinely pleased for others when they win even if its a prize I would love myself. I think those are the main points of advice I would give.
Good luck with it and happy comping.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -
You only have to be lucky when entering one competition to win, so you have nothing to lose. The people that seem to win more might enter hundreds of competitions every day and treat it almost as a full time job. Personally, I might enter for a couple of days every day for six months, then I might get bored, or fed up and not bother again for three months. Each person is different. The main thing is to enjoy it and if you don't enjoy it, then don't bother.0

Thanks both!
Makes sense that the more you enter the better your chances are but I may get lucky just doing a few hours a week! I'll give it a go until I get bored/ fed up like you Marg2k8You bowl like your mother. Unless of course she bowls well, in which case you bowl nothing like herBig Bang Theory

Hello all
I'm relatively new to comping and so still getting the hang of it. When i get spare time I look on the main competition board, enter whatever interests me, which is around 20 comps per day. I then go on the dailies thread and enter the magazine ones, so around 25-30 comps.. so thats about 45 comps per day.
How many do you enter?

I have about 50 dailies, so anything from that to 200 xx good luckWishing you all good luck!
