The horrible taste was the taste of tinned soup ;)

Oh c'mon....the OP was struggling to differentiate between an alien and a mushroom so how do you expect him to know what kind of can it was? :rotfl:

    Sorry OP. :D

Ah its okay... my mother told me never to trust strangers so I've always had a bit of an issue differentiating between fungus and sentient lifeforms.

Probably why my YTS at SETI didn't work out so well... ho hum.

Instead I'll settle for being the pioneering voice behind 'soup circles'!

Remember folks... you read it first here (and then there... after it was moved and whatnot!)

(PS.. my OP was a serious question btw... the soup was minging... will pack of a stern letter of complaint!)
  • Hi,

you did say it was supermarket own brand, so what do you expect for about 20p a can, it's like buying 100 tea bags for 20p, just dust.

You get a 'taste' from most tinned stuff, even canned lager tastes different from draught.

Call me old fashioned but I expected it to be fit for purpose (much in the same way I wouldn't expect a loaf of bread to be mouldy or a box of soap-powder to be damp).
