Hi, my digital cordless phones are all acting up at the same time, sometimes they allow me to answer....sometimes not. Sometimes they let me dial out....sometimes not. I guess they cld be 4 or 5 yrs old now, time for a new set, but looking for something around £40 mark....or less wld be even better.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Take a chance on Ebay - I paid £20 for a triple set Onetel 8500 and, 2 years later, picked up a quad of the same model 'for spares or repair' for £8.99 and ended up with 7 working handsets, 5 charger pods and 2 working bases/answering machines!
Now I just need a bigger house so that I can use all 7 handsets!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks for the replies guys, I know it was a big ask on such a small budget, but im just thinking maybe the trio wld be enough for me as we do have a corded phone with answering machine built in, in living room already.
My kids used to use the phones and id nvr find a handset, but as older teens now, they dont use house phone, just their mobiles
You'll make my day if I know I've been helpful to you in some small way,
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x
