lol way to go man!
sounds like the guy ripping you off was probably some scrawny kid who thought he had made an easy buck. No way would this kind of scam happen face to face because he would be to scared and clearly it showed in the end. If it was any other situation he probably could of reported you to the cops for harassment, but clearly he knew he had ripped you off if he folded so easily.
kinda dumb using your home address if your gonna rip someone off too0 -
Nice one burbs, think i'll deal only with ebayers in the Birmingham area then if they don't pay up i can give you a shout !!!!What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

lemming i dont know if this guy actually did use his real address or what. I got sent his address through ebay, whether that was correct or not i dont know. I had his name from him detailing how to pay him by cheque so it would not have taken a rocket scientist to find him if needs be.
I never harrased the guy, i was very polite in all communications with him (im not stupid luckily) i was just pushing him in the right direction and indicating that it was the right thing to do to give me back my money or goods, whichever was the easiest for him would have been great by me.
Anybody who loses money to these scum must not let them get away with it. Paypal will fob you off and Ebay do not give a flying F##K whether you get your money back. These people realise that there is no real comeback if they steal through Ebay so they will continue to do it. If they do it to you make sure that you do not let them get away with it.lemming64 wrote:lol way to go man!

Hello,
I'm new here, name's Gareth!
I'm a high volume seller on the online auctions.
If you ever have a problem with Paypal then take up the issue with your credit card company.
You will get your money back quicker than dealing with paypal directly.
If you don't get your goods then your card company will return your money.
I hope this helps!
regards

Nice one Burbs!
@Gareth. I have done this successfully in the past. However, PayPal's T&C's effectively state that you cannot get your credit card issuer to do a chargeback against them. Unfair contract methinks which is probably why they have several class action lawsuits against them in the US.

Well done Burbs - I wish I was like you - I'd have given up long ago and just moaned about it forever. I hate confrontation and dealing with authority, but I know that you were right.
As I have read through many of these stories I'm beginning to think that Ebay is just full of crooks and fraudsters. I treat others in the way I want to be treated - but it seems that everyone is out for themselves in this world!!!!!!!!!!Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0
