Congestion Charge Sob Stories
Here's mine
I sometimes drive into my London office as I have a free parking space there and it's useful to be in the car if I work late or have lots of boxes to deliver. Trouble is, it's a massive 30 yards inside the new CC zone!
This works out at a congestion charge of £235 per mile. I'm tempted to spend three hours driving around Trafalgar Square (i.e. about two laps) just to get my money's worth.

Can I help?

Fortunately I don;t go in that often or I'd buy something exempt. A Lexus RX400h if I could afford it

Can you push the car in, with the engine off?
I know TFL are looking at charging based on distance within the zone, to stop this sort of thing happening, but it'll be a long time coming.0 -
Does anyone know if TFL have the technology to spot and fine cars parked in the zone. I sometimes drive up to london to visit my mother, I'd arrive after 6.30pm, stay a day or two, then leave after 6.30pm. So the car would be legally parked on a public road inside the zone. I think this is still chargeable ? but I know the camera's spot moving traffic, so do you think I'd still be done ? Thanks.0

We test drove one of these a couple of months ago. I have never felt so car sick:eek: I don't suffer from car sickness, but if we had this I would. It was awful.0
