DHL has shot right up with PM and WPS (who were my carrier of choice tbh)
So, who does everyone else use? Someone reputable with insurance up to £500 is required. Thanks.
ETA - tired sorry. I have been told about Interparcel and Transglobal - both of which came back with a competetive quote, but I have not used them before. Has anyone else used them? I have a lot of goods to go (£400) I can really do without getting stitched up.

I've used both interparcel and transglobal in the past, the only problems were the fault of DHL, but the brokers both seemed happy enough to help. For high insurance GWizz are also very good (https://www.gwizzcouriers.co.uk)
I don't see what other people do in DHL tho, I personally don't like them in my area. UPS are much better, as are FedEx0 -

Thanks, yes, they are at least 3kgs so too heavy and goes onto a different service and so slow once you start using a courier. Usually it would take 2 weeks to arrive and there is no online tracking even though you pay for International Signed For so this is why I started using a courier, my customer is happy to pay for it but obviously need to keep costs down.0 -

OK great, I just wanted to hear from people who had used them really, I'll have a look at that one too.
I've only ever used DHL as that was always the cheapest option but £55 went up to £80 and now that has risen again to around £130 over all the sub-contractors, I wonder why?? They always gave a really good service and the parcels would be in Oz within 3 days.0 -

Stitched up how? By paying for insurance?0 -
No, I read blue_monkey's thread a few days ago, Parcelfarce said his parcels weighed more than they actually did, and completely stuffed him for it!!!0

Yeah, I removed my thread because once we had looked into it with PM yesterday we found where the issue was. Parcel Force removed the labels I put on and mixed the 2 parcels up so the smaller one was 2kgs over and the bigger one was 2kgs under.
Luckily they were destined for the same person but I had not had time to send one earlier in the week..... and just sent 2 parcels rather than pack into one - had they been going to different destinations then I'd have been completely knackered.
PM said I should put their labels on - which I did as I have to send the customs declarations and these have to stay with the parcel so I used DHL window envelopes and cut their name off the corner.
I spoke to the driver last week as I used them again and he again had no labels. He told me (and showed me) that they get a note on their handheld machine that tells them to pick up from x address - they never know what it is or where it is going so they have no labels. They then remove the ones that PM give us and use their own at the depot and this is when they put the labels on. However, PF mixed the 2 parcels up.
PM have asked me to give them another try but I cannot ever trust PFW again, I'd rather use another service, but the next service with DHL is 3 times the cost. Parcel Monkey have been OK and I have edited my posts to show that - I was going to post some more specific details later as PFW are still saying that the boxes were heavier than the declared weight - despite the mix up, you can see they are saying the parcels are heavier than declared and then they bill for more. It is always .1kg over the 'declared weights'. Funny that as I always round UP so something 2.5kgs would be priced at 3kgs and they are saying it is 3.1kgs when it was 2.5kg on my scale.
It is Parcel Force at fault here most definitely though. They are not going to win PM any customers, that is for sure, but PM have provided me with everything to be able to show where the problem is and this is how I found out what had happened. Would not trust PFW at all now I am afraid.0
