Share certificate from 1960

I'm dealing with my Aunt's estate and I've found an old share certificate for 20 £1 shares in John Lewis. It's dated 1960. Does anyone know how to find out if these have any value? I'm expecting it to be worthless, but I have to try and find out really before I wind up the estate.
They're called "five percent second cumulative preferred ordinary stock units" whatever that is!
Any help would be much appreciated.

You would not believe how much time it took me. At first I thought you meant John Lewis of Hungerford which is listed on AIM but that is not it since it have not been around long enough. I thought of John Lewis Partnership but instantly dismissed it as they are all owned by Partners right... yes in a way...
So I took a glance in John Lewis Partnership Annual Report and found what you mentioned in it.
It mentioned that it own 83.3% of the 5% First Cumulative Preference Stock. But it may be wrong type. It might be worth ringing them about it.
So yes, it might be worth finding out about itIn most recent report, they paid out £222,000 on it. But please bear in mind that it is First and not Second so it may be not right.
Either way, I would still suggest you ask them about it. The worst thing they can say "Nope, these no longer exist" which in that case, they are pretty worthless I guess.
