Low hot water pressure

Just had a 3 in 1 tap professionally fitted following a new kitchen makeover.
Problem is there is little or no pressure from the hot water side, cold pressure is excellent.
There are no kinks in the pipes.
The hot water in the ajacent utility room is excellent on both feeds.
Plumber says the cause is the new tap having reduced size of pipes from the 15m feed to the tap outlet.
This I don't accept as it is the same situation with the cold and and this is ok.
I have checked that the filter on the tap is ok and clean.
Any ideas to solve a very frustrating situation?

Its the tap. Its not suitable for your system.

    Cheers

Edit: and its NOT a pressure problem - its a flow rate problem. I think I'm going to have this little bon mot as my sig seeing as how I have to repeat it so often. :D

Agree with previous diagnosis. OP,You have a high pressure tap fitted to a low pressure system. It needs replacing for the correct pressure level type

Seems that advice was lacking at point of sale.
We have the hot water cylinder system and it has been suggested that a solution could come from fitting a pump to the hot feed for this particlulasr tap, this would recognise that the hot water tap had been opened and the pump would come on.
    Would this work?

Seems that advice that you have had the wrong tap fitted isn't pleasing to your ear.

Yes it would work provided that your HWC and CWST tanks have sufficient capacity. Yes its a muppet solution. Its probably an expensive solution. Its a bodge. Who on earth suggested that?

    Change the tap.

    Cheers
