Car Rentals

We have always used Holiday Autos (holidayautos.co.uk) to book rental cars in the past. I understand that they have now changed hands and are owned by lastminute.com. Be careful.

Last night I booked two return flights to Geneva through Holiday Autos. I chose the flights, gave my card number and clicked the button for confirmation. I was surprised and annoyed to be sent a form headed “Car Rental Request” which said “Thank you for requesting a car with holidayautos. We will contact you within the next two working days to advise you if the car you have requested is available”

I think this is very misleading. They made me believe I was getting a firm booking and they took my money! Now I have to wait while they see what they can do. This strikes me as unfair to users and to other operators.

Keep up the good work – I really appreciate what you are doing.
