T Shirt Printing to raise money

Dear all,

Can anyone recommend a T-Shirt printing business who can supply cheap T-Shirts with a custom design printed onto them. (Our choice of design) We would need these T-Shirts at a cheap price as we are fundraising and want to make as much money as possible.
We want around 150 T-Shirts.
We are located in Northern Ireland however we are open to suggestions in UK as a whole.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

  • Sorry I can't recommend anywhere, but I do have a few thoughts. Can you ask a local supermarkeet to donate the Tshirts? Or a local clothing provider? Obviously you would have to tell them what you are fundraising for. Maybe you could offer to acknowledge them in your fundraising - 'Tshirts kindly supplied by XYZ' at your fundraising event, or printed on the back of the Tshirts.

We had some hi-vis jackets printed with our community group logo a couple of years ago. A local company charged £15 set up fee (to make a plate of the logo - this is a one off fee, so anything we have printed in the future won't need the set up fee). We provided the artwork. It would have been more expensive otherwise.

Each item then costs £3 for the stitched design to be added, if you provide your own clothing. For more than 5 items, the cost is reduced to £2.50 per item. As you are talking about Tshirts, I would imagine you would have transfers, not stitching, so it should be quite a bit cheaper.

Ask local companies what they can offer. Make it clear that you are keeping costs down as it is for a fundraising event. Someone might do the work for free if they can have a mention as being a sponsor of your fundraiser.
  • You might find a local screen printers more cost effective. You supply the T-Shirts and the artwork, they print them?
  • Agree with kingfisherblue. Just to highlight the importance of giving something back.

In the words of JFK, "And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." - In other words, you're more likely to gain positive feedback if you don't just ask what company X can do for you, but what you can give in return, in ways of promotion. Some ideas to claw them in with:

    Good luck!
