Tesco JTD deals and discussion thread

although advertised online this offer is not available in all stores including my local extra store - who appear to pick and choose what they offer ..... meant to say the pizza, ice cream and garlic bread offer - it seems that some stores even the really large extras don't offer things to their customers!

There weren't any labels/aigns about this offer in our local Tesco Superstore earlier but the offer did kick in when I went through the checkout so sometimes worth checking.

I thought Tesco had a national pricing policy (Extra, Superstore same, Local/Metro may be different), apart from when they had local clearance etc? Aren't the prices supposed to match their website?

Yes I dont think I have seen actually advertised in any of the stores I have visited but the offer does kick in at the till.

I think some of the small stores are franchises so don't have to offer the same as the larger stores.

My store did not have this deal advertised but it did go through as a £5 deal, got my price check today to:
TOTAL................................................................... £ 9.70 £ 5.22

So net price after a £4.48 price check is a MASSIVE 52p :beer:

Now have a freezer full, kids will be fed up of garlic bread, pizza and ice cream.

I have just phoned the local store to check this and they have said they are not running the offer due to availability of the products! They make it up as they go along since it is a Extra store and when I went off in search of the £5 deal I noticed that there were plenty of the individual products in the offer. They are really annoying since the excuse given over the phone didn't match when I had already checked for the products in store and found them. I pointed this out to the person on the phone and was told that she couldn't comment but she has been told that the offer is only on subject to availability and she has been told they have run out! Blatent lies - quite unbelievable really.

That may well apply to some smaller stores but mine is a massive Extra store!

Same in my non extra (just large store), no sign of the deal, but tried today and works. SA was off to get herself some, was v close to say use price check as she was nice, but thought best not!!!
