I think I have confused matters - I had not seen the earlier correspondence where people said that T was not actually capping yet. I was just reporting that the T&C had changed, and had naively believed that the change would be in place.

These coupons are one per transaction, so maybe they've sorted that? Or, what did you buy? Some items are not classed as cakes for some reason (flapjacks for instance is one) and it might be this that has brought your total down.
