Student Loan Repayment

Options
Just would like a bit of advice.

I graduated in 2008, being due to begin repayment in 2009. I completed an employment details form in early 2009, and received acknowledgement from SLC that repayments would begin in April of that year permitting my earnings were over 15k.

My standard wage is not above the 15k threshold (although it is close), but my HR department informed me that they never received notification to begin deductions should my wages go above that.

So I contacted SLC, who requested my details again and said that they would forward this off to HMRC. They said they would not be able to update me on the progress on this, nor could I contact HMRC.

Six months later and my employer has still not received anything.

So what should I do to move things along and resolve this? Just contact SLC again?

Many thanks :)

if your wages go above 15k then chase....

it probably hasn't triggered anything in the HR system because it doesn't actually need to yet????
