Barclays Monthly Savings account

I will have £750-£800 to save and will be able to deposit about £20 every 2 months, and will probably leave it alone for about 6-8 months.

Do you think the monthly savings account will be the best idea? I'd like to stick with Barclays.

    If you want to stick with Barclays then it's fine. Just remember you can't invest the whole £700 at once, you have to invest at most £250/month.

    Might be too tempting to spend it that way, do you know of any others that are not connected to Lloyds TSB?
