I worked for RCI for 10 years, fab place to work, it is an american company but based in the UK. they don't buy or setup any timeshares all they do is exchange it, so for example if you didn't want to go to tenerife in april, but you fancied going to florida in august you would 'pool' your apartment for someone else to use and take out the week you want.0

My fella has got timeshare at the Marriott in Paris, cost him approx £10k but he has to pay nearly £1000 a year in fees. When I looked at booking the apartment direct with Marriott in was on £800.
They won't buy it back, we haven't used it in 3 years and haven't gone abroad for a few years
Any one advise what we should do? 0 -

has anyone experience of selling Club la Costa membership? Have been in touch with company that sells timeshare but they suggest selling CLC points at £3 each. Also not sure what happens to maintenance fees? Need to be sure we do not get ourselves into more difficulties. Thanks zumbaqueen0

We were in a similar situation a couple of years ago. We were done over by timeshare resales and still owned the timeshare in Florida.
In the end we had to ask them to take it back and pay a UK solicitor to disassociate us from it. I think it cost a couple of hundred quid but was well worth it.0 -
The maintenance fees keep rising each year, fares are going up as is holiday insurance. And don't think you will be able to sell it, you won't.0
