Yup. He's thick alright.
Old boy marched in with something between his teeth. When I asked him what he had (any pet owners know the tone), he legged it across the kitchen. Cue one mad chase to the tune of the Benny Hill music around the house until I catch him, just as the little bundle of twisty, crispy plastic wrapping disappears out of reach.
He's always been obsessed with plastic. No lammetta allowed on the Christmas tree, no shiny ribbon on presents, no plastic bags, wrappers, nothing permitted here.
Anyhow, I've been checking the litter tray _pale_ and the little puddles of puke _pale_ for the offending piece of plastic and nothing. Spoke to the vet and as I was on hold, I spotted a puddle under the sofa containing blood. Booked the appointment for an hour's time and went on the hunt in the house. Four more puddles with varying quantities of blood in them.
Once stupid was checked over, he got told he was very good for losing enough weight to be perfectly normal (3.2kg/7.1lb from 5.8kg/12.7lb in 18 months), but all he needed was an antibiotic injection, a course of them for the week, chicken or fish for dinner and my keeping a careful watch on him and anything expelled from either end _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_ _pale_
Oh, and apparently, cats almost 14 years old DO NOT eat plastic, apparently. I must remember to tell him that.

I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Ah he looks so gorgeous - pleased he is ok.
Luckily my cats have never been attracted to plastic but one of my friends had a kitten who spent most of one Christmas with lammetta hanging out of his rear end

My cat eats netting, think tutu material, cost me £600 at vets and he is sans some intestine. Doesn't stop him though, he will actually follow me around with a squinty eyed face on trying to lick and nuzzle and eat it from my dress.
I think he has a hairball right now though, serves him right, for chomping a hole in my sailors costume last month (its ok, he successfully managed to poop that out, and left his bum trails on the floor too)

I also don't believe you ... He looks far too polite and nice to be naughty

My eldest cat has an attraction for bringing home gloves/ hats/ scarves and even a large towel once .. The longer they have been buried the better
