Which banks use Equifax and which use Experian

Is there a list anywhere of which credit agencies each Bank uses?
I was just on the phone to my bank and they claimed there was something on my Equifax report that was stopping them from providing me with credit.
I went to equifax and got my credit score and report. Funnily enough I've been checking my experian report and score frequently and that's "Excellent" but my Equifax score is "Fair"
I just don't understaand.
My partner and I want to set up a joint bank account to pay our mortgage / bills / weekly shop from but I don't want to apply or a new bank account if that bank uses Equifax until I;ve had a chance to go through it with a fine toothcomb.
