Norton Q

Yes I have to admit I haven't had any problems and I do like the convenience of Norton.
Do you think NIS is adequate compared to Norton 360? From what I can see the difference is just tune up tools and extras that aren't really essential to security? Norton 360 is about £65 compared to about £20 for NIS.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

i haven't read all the replies, so apologise if im repeating whats been said. I have never paid for anti virus software. I did once use Norton and i have to say it was so intrusive and really was not compatible with a lot of programmes i have. I use AVG, its free and i have never had a virus. Here is a link to it, but this site, like others similar, do lots of free software, http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=avg+free+2012&platformSelect=Windows&platformSelect=Mobile&platformSelect=Webware&!!!!!srch%3Ba&searchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows%2CMobile%2CWebware&filter=platform%3DWindows%2CMobile%2CWebwaremake sure you read the comments and make sure you download a free one not a free trial.0

I meant Norton these days is amongst the best for both AV detection and for being very light on your pc. A good few years back everyone hated Norton (and rightly so) as it used to be a hog..however these days i would rate it even higher than NOD32/ESET;)0 -
If you can find it, you can buy NIS 2011 for a few pounds and then make use of the free upgrade to NIS 2012.0
