Major/minor service?

My car is 2 years old and was serviced a year ago. It has just over 10,000 miles on the clock.

When I get it serviced next month should it be a big service or a smaller one?

Sorry to be so unknowledgable but I know VERY little about cars!

State what the car is and someone might be able to advise.
You should follow the manufacturers guidelines, which are probably in the handbook.

Don't get hung up on major/minor service.

Each car is different. I've had some which have had two relatively minor services then a big one. And others which alternate bigger/smaller.

It needs the work which is specified in the handbook. If you're going to a main dealer, they'll know exactly what a 2nd year service needs to include.

~And dont forget, you don't need to go to a main dealer, as long as any parts used by the garage are genuine parts you can take it to any garage. Usually at half the price.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

However be aware that they won't apply any ECU updates, do any recall work and that if you own a Ford, you may find that the garage is only a few quid cheaper but having a non-dealer stamp in the service book in the first 3 years costs you more than you save come resale time.

I know that I personally would only buy a 3-4 year old car with full main dealer service history and there'll be enough of them out there to be able to do that.
