ppi on sseveral barclays products

hi i heard this morning that my loan ppi is being refunded i still have claims going through on barclay card x2 and overdraft all were same reason does it mean cause the loan has paid out the other claims will be upheld?

    Depends on what your reason for complaint is and whether it is valid and provable or not or if they apply the same floor limits in dealing with complaints.

    Loan PPI is often successful on complaint where the PPI was added to the loan as a single premium and charged interest. That clearly doesnt happen with credit card. So, if that is the reason they have upheld the complaint (and no other) then it wont apply to credit cards.

  • hi all were the same reason i wasnt working i was stay at home mum on career break still covered by work cover benefits. my partner worked i myself had no income and i was not aware of insurance being on as over the phone no paper work sent all were on the same form and they have duplicated the claim all same reasons and dates ect

    If they dont cover "housewife" then you have valid complaints across the board as long as that was the case at point of sale (they are not responsible if you changed it post sale). Some income protection plans do actually cover housewifes although I suspect that would not be the case here (the use of the word "housewife" is because that is what those who do offer cover class you as. Although some have moved to houseperson or include the househusband as an alternative!).
