Well...I'm still waiting for something that I won beginning of Dec!...I'm not happy I've e-mailed them loads of times...I get the reponse that the prize has been sent out twice!...c'mon...it can't be lost in the post twice....I'm not letting this one go......I'll fight for it........ha ha.:rotfl:...It was only a small win but it's the principle of it.

Wish you luck with yours.:D
• I waited a long time for a DVD pack worth £95 from the Telegraph and had to email them twice. The first email was passed to someone else who never responded but the second one was sent to them both and it was sorted out really quickly. They were able to tell it had in fact been sent out but they sent another pack along with a postal claim form to be returned to them so they could register it as being lost in the post.
Hope you get it sorted soon. You always feel mean chasing up things but you are entitled to do so after a reasonable amount of time.

exactly my philosophy a win is a win, they have promised me something and i expect to receive it, i don't like pestering for it if it is a small win. however if it was a large one, i am on the case as soon as i think i should be.

From Velvet Glove's Comping Guide

"7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.

If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.

The Institute of Promotional Marketing complaints@theipm.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star. Please note, the IPM was formerly known as the Institute of Sales Promotion (name change in May 2010) however, the contact info does not appear to have changed.

The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.

I had an issue with a prize not turning up & after chasing politely for 5 months, I mentioned that I had been advised to talk to the Institute of Sales Promotions about the matter. Funnily enough that resulted in a letter of apology within a few days, along with a box of ‘Apology Goodies’ & my prize turned up 2 weeks later. Just remember to keep your cool & remain polite. "
• I'm still awaiting a Clinica beauty set worth around £20 that I won in about October! I've still got the email from the guy but I've never got round to emailing yet

Still waiting for a win from the end of December, messaged her on twitter in January and she said bare with me so waited another month and messaged her again, she did not reply and blocked me from twitter.Noticed she posted on facebook that people had been pestering her for prizes but paying customers come first, can see her point but she gets publicity by offering prizes and she did say the prize would be from stock so cannot see the problem, all she has to do is pop it in the post with one of her "paying orders" Lost hope of getting anything now but if she had had the manners to answer my message I would not have minded waiting a little longer.

Im still waiting for a win from My Daily from beginning of January. I won second runner up prize of a designer scarf. Asked why I hadnt received it middle of Feb and they said they were waiting for suppliers as it was part of a 'special spring/summer collection'.

Ive waited another six weeks now, should I email them again? Surely all the spring/summer collections are out now?

I won an iPod and a Now CD in January last year and although the iPod came the CD didn't. It was only a small prize but I e-mailed them three times and it never came. I gave up in the end but I wished I'd carried on nagging them because it was a prize I won fair and square and I was promised it. If I were you I'd perhaps e-mail them every two weeks then write an official letter.

I am also waiting for a scarf from the same comp as Wolfsbayne and got the same response when I chased it up a while ago. I am going to email them again on Tuesday.
