The inflation rate is a bit misleading, because I got a pay rise below the 'official' inflation rate, but I believe around or even over my 'personal' inflation rate.Being brave is going after your dreams head on0

I was promoted from 1st Jan and that came with a pay rise, my last official pay rise was April 2011 (3.5%) and it is due again April 2012 but not sure if I will get anything in this round due to the job move. Good news is that I was at the top of my grade in the old job and the bottom in this one so the only way is up LOL

The phrase "pay rise" is too generic. It could include, for example: (1) an increase in pay because of a change of job (either existing or new employer) (2) a regrading of existing job (3) a personal/organisational/national pay review - typically referred to as a "cost of living award" (4) an incremental progression on a pay scale (usually annual) (5) "bonus" payments/awards.
I assume that it was number 3 of my examples you were attempting to gauge but others may reasonably interpret the question to mean any increase in pay.0 -
Heck. I work for a statutory corporation created as a "not for dividend" private company limited by guarantee.
Does that make me public or private sector?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

My Local Government pension is due to rise by 5.2% this April ... which is nice ... but it would have been more if the corrupt government hadn't changed from RPI to CPI ...
