Board Suggestion: Paying for long-term care

There are now regular threads popping up on this subject, mainly from MSErs whose elderly rellies are affected.The amounts of money involved are huge and the subject matter is complex.
Often decisions need to be made almost on the spot, with relatives under pressure and often also distressed if the relative is seriously ill .Individuals can easily lose all their assets if the wrong decision is made, and there is not much competent financial advice around.
IMHO it would be very helpful to have a sub forum dedicated to this, so the information can all be kept in one place and people can get help quickly from those who have experience.
