Hi. I've had a quote off a company called Paul Riley Builders in Northwich. He seems like a genuine kind of fella and his quote is the right money. I was just wondering if anyone on here has used him before? or knows if his work is as good as he says?

Not sure what you are planning on having done but if its major, ask him for references of people who you can contact to get their view (and ideally go and see a similar completed job). Any reputable builder should have no problem with this (we have accommodated requests a number of times for the Builder that did our extension).0

Not sure what the relevance of him being VAT registered is. All that means is that he turns over above a certain amount per annum.
Plenty of good, reputable builders are not VAT registered.0
