What small DFW things will you do today? Monday 20 Feb

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Well, Monday already...half term went by in a flash! I've been awake sonce 4.45am, got a terrible headache and sinus pain, blurgh. Hope everyone else is feeling better than I am!
Today's list I'm gonna keep small as going back to work after a week off is going to be enough to cope with haha
- post 7 evilbay items sold over weekend (8 if the last buyer pays before I leave work at 5pm) - got up at 5am and parcelled them all up!
- dry clothes on airer
- LSD - just ebay posting and milk for work
- check out slimming world and ww groups locally - have vouchers to join for free and their books go for a fair bit on evilbay!
- clicks, surveys and bingo
- free lunch at work for me, packed lunch for DS
- watch a free movie on netflix tonight
- make an appointment to see personal trainer (bought a 6 week voucher off groupon ages ago and need to get started!)
have a great day, everyone!

Oh crikey! I forgot about that one - best get dressed pronto! Thanks for the reminder DNMS! My bus pass ran out and I can't afford another until pay day so I'm walking all week.0 -
Good morning one and all and thank you for starting off the thread.
I'm not really with it yet, didn't sleep very well last night, so will probably need an extra cup of coffee or two!
The list...- Change the beds
- Apply for a job I bookmarked on Saturday
- See if the job an agency turned me down for is posted on the client site and apply for it directly
- Check finances and update spreadsheet
- Do meal plan
- Do the 500
- Choose a recipe for my new project - details below
- See how the Captain is, last night was very cold
- All meals from stores
- Clear and clean a kitchen cupboard
The new project started as a tidy up of my recipe file, you know all the pieces of paper torn out of magazines, post it notes of ingredients for a recipe from a friend and family recipes that have been around for years. I've already thrown out the ones that either don't work or just aren't right somehow. I'm going to make up one recipe a week, photo the finished product and maybe a couple during the process. Then write it up complete with notes and thoughts or history of where I got it. And will gradually put my own recipe book together as a gift for my daughter.

G'morning, everyone!
Had a very emotional weekend here - constantly up and down really. On Friday / Saturday I was looking at places in anticipation of things ending with boy and me moving out, then had a good talking to on Saturday night an all better now. Rainy season here is now back with a vengeance, so spent Saturday night getting poured on while out on my bike without rain gear! Eek!
Hope you feel better soon, SC! Sounds dreadful.
How do you make your chow mein, Pix? Fancy sharing?
Good luck job hunting, La E!
Good luck making it through your sleepy day, Piquant
Today for me:
- file expenses (currently about £100 out of pocket to work, eek!)
- bike everywhere I need to go
- carrot and coriander soup for tea, using up leftovers
- breakfast at home and lunch provided by work
- email people about business stuff
- work like a madwoman as loads on
- evening interview with headhunter - I dont think I'm qualified for the job shes pitching but she seems to think so, cant hurt I suppose!
