Multi-Region hack for an LG DVX692H...

Hi, can anyone tell me whether there is a Multi-Region hack for the LG DVX692H, and if so what it is? I'm dying to watch Vanilla Sky on a Region 1 DVD, but the DVD player is a Region 2 player
!!! Thanks.

    Could try.

    1. Switch on the player
    2; open the CD compartment
    3. Enter the following code (using the remote): 2812
    4. Highlight the region
    5. Change to 9 (for Multi-region) using the 'Enter' button
    6. Hit 'Clear' to exit

Amazing what you can find with google these days
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j
  • Thanks a lot Neilwoods & Thefishdude, I'm sure one of them will work :-)
  • Unfortunately, neither of them worked :-( Can anyone else shed some light on how to unlock my Region 2 DVD player to watch a Region 1 DVD? Thanks.

I won't bore you with the ins and outs of my situation - my brazilian films work and now I am soooo happy!

The link was for an LG DVX276 and 278 from what I can tell. I tried it out of desperation and it worked, EVERYTHING else just did not work. The file appears to be the same that other DVX models use, but you will have to do a bit of burning rather than type in numbers on the control handset.

Unfortunately, I am too new on this site to post links so i found it by going to AVforums and searching for 'LG DVX' as the key search terms.

At the top of the results you should see the thread called 'LG DVX550 or DVX582H' posted by robc1967. Half-way down the first page is a link by tonyTun1 to 'videohelp forum'.

    What NOT to do:

Don't burn the folder and file onto a CD in the usual way. For example, by copy and pasting the file onto the D:/ or right click and send to CD/DVD drive and then burn it.

What you MUST do (instructions in folder are vague):

    1. once saved, unzip the file to your desktop and find the ISO file. Then I double-clicked on the file and a pop up (Windows Disc Image Burner) appeared that asked to burn ISO. Simply press burn and that's it.
    2. Put the disc into the DVD player and a Blue screen appears. From what I can make from the previous posts I looked through I pressed '0' and thankfully, '0' is the magic number.

I hope this helps many frustrated people out there!!! but the DVX692H is now unlockable!!! :j
