Mortgage Paymentcare Protection

Hi there, can anyone offer any advice about Mortgage Paymentcare Protection claims? Have already sent in PPI claims on 31/01/2012 foe various laons and credit cards, and had acknowledgements back to date, but after a hunt in the attic have found that we paid Mortgage Payment Protection from 1995 to 2003 to Abbey National. In 2003 we moved and changed from an endowment mortgage to a repayment with Halifax. ( Now back with Santander). Have all original paperwork from the initial mortgage interview/offer where the named Abbey staff didn't ask if we needed it. ( Husband was a postman with full cover through union subs/company policy). Do we have a valid claim? Thanks to anyone who can help.

What exactly do you mean by "full cover"?
I doubt very much there was ANY redundancy cover. An employer will not waste money on it if it knows it does not intend to make staff redundant and if it does know then the employee would be uninsurable.
In the 1990s if you lost your job you had to wait nine months for any state support, by which time it could be too late to save your home.0 -

I didnt realise the Royal Mail covered redundancy. That is a new one on me. I have a couple of posties on my book and they have never told me their mortgages are covered if made redundant.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Sorry, I haven't mentioned redundancy cover, maybe my choice of wording was incorrect. What I meant was cover for long term sick. The MPPI seems to be linked to the mortgage offer, along with having to take out their home insurance and pension plan although he had his own company pension. I know being green is not an excuse, but just looking for any advice that can be offered. Thanks0
