Advice on buying used car please
Hi everyone, looking for some advice please.
We have just sold our gas guzzling 4x4 for 3.4k and now looking to buy a different car. We need enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids as well as a big enough boot for a double buggy. We need a cheapish car to tax and insure and looking for good mpg (diesel or petrol?). I am on mat leave but car is usually used to commute to work via motorway which is about 10 miles each way
We have had Hondas and VW in the past and loved them, but not sure we can get one that meets all our needs as above on our budget. We dont want to take any finance out to get a car either.
Wondering if a seat or a ford would be a good option or not? I also like a nice nippy car but again not sure if we can get one that is also big enough for family?
I know I am looking for a lot in a car!
All help/advice appreciated
Thanks!

cam shaft, turbo, they're a common fault without regular oil changes with the right oil.0 -

Proof please.
OP ask for advice and as per usual one or two will try to help but the majority will try to slag, Mikey fair comment about the lost book of this example but this is just common sense, there are other out there, and they are capable of mega miles cheaply which is something you can't say about their later model 2006+
A new aircon compressor on these cars is around £100 for the part or £280 fitted by a specialist VAG indi, they do tend to fail as it is a service item (every two years) which many owners skip.
We have one bought with FSH on 90k in 2008 and so far done over a 100k in it, needed new alternator and few tyres so far.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
