Company credit card

Hi,

My Dad wants to start a credit card for his Limited company.

Can anyone direct me to companies or cards that accept Limited company applications?

Thanks.

I think Barclaycard and MBNA do. There are probably lots of others. You could try emailling companies with whom you have a personal CC and like their service.

I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.
  • We have them for our limited company through our bank, HSBC. It is more like a charge card than a credit card though, the entire amount is taken by Direct Debit each month.

I know Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank does a company credit card. I don't know whether you have to have an account with them (that's not a bad thing though, as they pay a very good interest rate!).

Is there any particular reason why? It may be more beneficial to put it on a personal card which gives perks then claim back as expenses.
  • Must admit this is what we do most of the time, to get the cashback. Only use the Company Credit Cards if it is a particularly large order if we are close to our credit limit that month.

I Use A Personal Card As Well. I Know Officially You're Not Supposed To For Company Purchases But Haven't Had A Problem So Far. As Our Credit Card Purchases Can Be Quite Large It's A Good Way Of Earning Extra Cash Back. I Did Have A Call From A & L Commercial Bank Once Inviting Me To Have A Company Credit Card But Just Told Them I Already Had One. Of Course Now A & L Have Stopped Moneyback I've Changed Credit Cards!
