Following some problems I had with my laptop, I thought it was resolved. However, this morning, I was finishing off some homework using powerpoint. When I went to save it, it crashed, so I waited, defragmented the system. When it finished I carried on, went to save it again, and it crashed again. Norton and mBAM aren't picking anything up, and I think there may be something wrong with my laptop. It does this at least twice a day, for at least 4 days. When one application crashes, the whole system goes exceedingly slow. What can i do?

Another thing- The second time it crashed, I decided to wait it out. The screen went black, and it crashed, but the button was still blue to indicate it was turned on. As much as I pressed buttons and used the mouse, it stayed black. There are no viruses on the computer, and I honestly have no idea what to do. I have only had it since christmas.0

Well then if you bought it then, it's not fit for purpose. Go back to the retailer.0 -

Crashes like this are often caused by either a device driver or software you've installed.
Take a copy of all your stuff (documents, photos, music etc) to a DVD or USB drive and then using he recovery partition or disks, do a factory reset. How do I add a signature?0 -
A lot of laptop bluescreens are caused by overheating. Is the fan working hard? Does it get hot? There's normally a fan sucking air in a round intake on the bottom, then blowing it through an internal radiator and out a slot in the back or side. A lot of time, this radiator gets gummed up with dust and laptop can't cool itself. Sometimes, there's a panel you can remove to get to it, sometimes it'll require a complete disassembly of the laptop to clean it. You could try putting your mouth over the outlet slot and blowing the dust back out the intake, but sometimes you really have to physically get to the dust to remove it.0

I shouldn't think the problem here is dust, the laptop is only 2 months old.How do I add a signature?0
