    I'm sure I got a letter through offering just that, oh well, could have been another one.

    Barclaycard occasionally make money transfer offers to 'selected' customers. They seem to occasionally appear on the online banking and then just as often disappear pretty quickly as well. They don't offer them as standard, unlike MBNA cards.

    Obviously you didnt mention the Virgin card was closed so my previous comment doesn't stand - they should just send the payment back. Let us know what happens!

    Checked my barclaycard account this morning and the transaction is now showing. It isn't on my virgin card yet though :o

    Well the balance transfer has shown up in the virgin money account so all is succesfull :)

    Money received in my account this morning, fantastic. Credit card balance & two overdrafts shifted to my 6.9% card. I am very happy now to have all my debt in one place for the first time. Now to clear the debt post haste!
