I think it's best for the Pups to mix with dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds & types & not just other Pups. I think parties are good for getting advice & asking questions but if it were me i'd be looking for a good training class, the APDT website should have details of classes run by APDT Trainers in your area. The Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards can be good to do also although they aren't necessary. Can we have photos now please?
Thanks Tiger, definitely going to get her some training classes, there is one run in our village but I don't know if it is APDT so will check that out. She is socialised with many different dogs from nephew's massive rottie and choc lab down to sister's tiny chihauha, picture for you

Awww so cute! Don't worry if the class isn't APDT, there are some fanstastic non APDT trainers, but maybe go along first without her to observe a class. Make sure it's all positive rewards, lots of praise/toys/treats for getting it right, no choke chains, electric/spray collars or physical punishment etc. Also kikopup posts free training videos on You Tube & she's excellent, really good, great vids x0

I think it depends on the vets.
Ours run puppy parties over 4 weeks, max 6 pups and three staff in attendance. They also charge £20 for it but give out voucher over the 4 weeks for £60 so if you use them you get your money back and more. These were for things like money off vaccinations, neutering, the local puppy training classes, food etc.
In our class there were 2 big pups and 2 small and to start with we let them off lead together. The staff were very quick to grab a puppy out of there when it was too much. We then let the big pups play together and held the small ones and then swapped. By week 2 the smallest pup had learnt to hold her own with the big pups and by week 4 they all played happily together.
For us it was a really positive experience and it helped us to get to know the staff and the surroundings.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0
