searching for soundproof room to hire

Is there a music magazine local to london that you can advertise in.
Have you asked at any music college/uni if they have them or know of them.
Orchestras
Radio stations
BBC
etc etc0 -
How about renting an industrial unit, so that you have quite a large empty space, then constructing a smaller soundproof room inside that?0
-
True, but in order for you to hire one for 6 months, someone has to have put up the money and effort, in advance, to set it up as a commercial facility. So they've 'had to build it' so that you could hire it.
Soundproof rooms exist already. They're called recording or rehearsal studios. I realise you merely want the room, not the equipment or facilities that go with the studios, at least. Are there really no rehearsal studios in London that are suitable for your needs?
To be fair, I think there could be a market here - but youll have to build yourself
perhaps cater to this market by renting it out after your 6 months? business opportunity!!!!!0 -

The best soundproof rooms I have seen were at an engine development place, wonder if there are any near you with spare capacity?0

Hi there- just checked your thread here about a sound proof room, I am also in desperate search for a very very soundproof room in London but have no idea where to find one- I wanted to ask you did you ever find one?
Yours kindly Melanie FM John0 -
a soundproof room need not be in a basement although it helps.
Google 'room within a room' and tell me what you think - the problem is constructing yourself is expensive and a liability if youre only renting0 -
just noticed i already replied months ago lol0

30 seconds of searching the internet yields the answer to both the ancient OP and to you RainbowMel:

Probably the quietest room you'll possibly find in or out of london, and can be hired by the hour.
Edit: 30 more seconds also reveals the following alternatives:

If you specifically want a soundproof room which is *not* anechoic, you're going to struggle without building one yourself.0
