Power washer 'repair'?

I have a power washer which has started to pulse when in standby, I noticed the detergent feed pipe is split from contact with abrasive ground, as this is on the same side as the high pressure hose, I suspect that this is causing a drop in pressure and hence the pulsing.
What may you suggest the block the pipe or nozzle?

Ignore the above, I'm going to use a fish tank air flow adjuster (when I can find it)0
