Info on German kitchen comparison please!

Hello all,

currently in the process of a big refurb to my flat, and am currently looking at kitchens, so the fun is beginning.

Looked at some of usual suspects (Wickes, Mereway, Howdens etc), but found a few German brands that look interesting. I'm just trying to get an idea of cost though - no point in me looking at the ultra high-end ones because I won't be able to afford it, so does anyone have enough knowledge to be able to rank the following in order of relative prices?! This is purely for cabinets/units, not worktops and appliances which I'll most likely source elsewhere. I've really struggled to find much info online. Thanks!

Siematic (I think expensive, but happy to be proved wrong!)
Hacker
Pronorm
Schuller
S.c.h.m.i.d.t. (I understand this is French rather than German)

If there are any other options I should be considering, I'd love to hear them!

    Price high to low-

    Siematic / Hacker Emotion
    Pronorm / Hacker Systemat
    Schuller / Hacker Classic

Schuller have a couple of ranges. The basic range I think will sit alongside Hacker Classic and the Next 125 I reckon somewhere around Hacker Systemat/Pronorm. CKDesigner will be able to advise.

I am not 100% certain where S.c.h.m.i.d.t, but reckon its around the Pronorm levels.

There are several other brands to consider depending on what you want to spend what what sort of materials/features you are looking for. Alno (between Pronorm and Siematic), Bulthaup (above Siematic), Poggenpohl (Siematic prices), Nolte (Pronorm prices). There are several other brands that I haven't listed.

  • Thank you, kmdesign, that's very helpful information that I hadn't been able to get elsewhere!

Still keen to hear anyone else's experiences with any of the above (excepting Siematic and Hacker Emotion which are out of budget for me!)
  • Just realised I also forgot to ask about the Beckermann brand which I've heard good things about.

The thing to remember that most German kitchens are pretty well made (I cant think of one that isnt). Even the entry level ranges from Hacker, Schuller, Nobilia, Beckermann, Baufoormat are not bad if purchased at the right price. I mention the 'right price' because other brands are marketed through pretty flash showrooms but are still essentially an entry or low-mid level product.

PM me if you want to find out specific names. I wont put it on here.
