Welcome Finance Loan finshed Nov 2005 whats my chances

HI Everyone

I had a loan with welcome finance but im unsure when i took out the loan but i do know it was paid off on Nov or dec 2005 as that is when i sold my house and i used some of the money to clear the debt.

I understand the FSCS are dealing with PPI's bought after jan 2005 but i was just wondering if anyone thinks im wasting my time trying to claim from welcome as it is over 6 years and i dont have any of the paper work.

Many thanks

Lorraine

  • You can put in a complaint to Welcome Finance itself. If upheld then it may be in a position to pay redress. However you would be an unsecured creditor.

It is also unlikely that a complaint would be upheld if no evidence survives.
  • Oh dear :(

    Thank you anyway
