Hiya, Thanks for the responses.
I didn't think i'd applied, as my Safari web browser didn't support the DLA online form, so i just thought i'd leave it, but they sent me a letter yesterday saying they've received my application, so we'll see what they say.
By a blue badge, do you mean a disabled badge for your car? Why would they give you one of those for epilepsy if you don't mind? and if you have seizures, you shouldn't be driving should you? Sorry, I'm a bit confused as to what you mean?
For me, it's like dejavu I'm in a trance, and can't do anything about it. But it's interesting to know what other peoples epilepsy is like. I've started taking tablet's but in my experience, they always make my epilepsy worse.
Aaaah well, life go's on, i just hope someday i am able to drive a car..0 -
I am classed as epileptic. But i have only had 2 in 10 years which were 7 years apart. Mine happened when i fell asleep on the settee. They were full blown attacks i bit through my tongue(which was sore for days) the shaking the works. Luckily my husband knew what to do. He was amazed at it though no warning nothing. I am now on tablets. I think i was told it was adult onset epilepsy. Weird.0

You should get ESA as you have seizures once a week or more.
As an expansion of this.
IB - the test for seizures used to be 'completely incapable of any deliberate act'.
With ESA, this is no longer the case.
'Lost or altered consciousness resulting in significantly disrupted awareness or concentration' is a much lower test.0 -
