Got a CCJ removed and my credit score has dropped ????

Hi, my first post and I couldn't find a specific place for this so this seemed to be most appropriate.

I've been battling to increase my credit score from the mid 280s after I had a rought time financially as a mature student.

I managed to pick up 3 CCJ, 2 for over £7k and one for £300 in 2008.

I've been trying and trying to get the £300 one removed and finally got a letter from the lender which I sent off to the court. They removed the CCJ from my credit file and I was looking forward to a bit of a climb in my credit score.

To say I'm annoyed is an understatatement, I logged into my Equifax account last week to find my credit score has dropped to the lowest it's been since I started monitoring it.

I've had the following:

Sept 2011 - 287
January 2012 - 296

Then CCJ removed

Now - 283.

What on earth have I done, it's been climbing slowly as things have been paid off / sorted out and I just can't understand why it would dip after a bad mark being removed.

Thanks in advance for any responses.
