Argos: cancelling a store-pickup reservation online.

I reserved the last 2 in-stock item for a store pickup for tomorrow.

Now I changed my mind - realised no way I can cancel this without actually going to the store (10miles eachway ), paying for it, and then returning for a refund.

Surely, thinking about it - can't this be made simpler?. There must be an option to give back the reserved items to the stock for others to buy if I cancel or changed my mind.

Someone who really wants this popular item tomorrow will be disappointed @this argos store becuase it is blocked out for the whole of Sunday!! Boy you have to wait will Monday - Sorry !!!

I work in argos and you don't have any obligation to pick them up and pay for the reserved items. Your only reserving them for two days and then if you don't pick them up within the set time the reservation will cancel itself and they will just go back on to the sales list for anybody else to buy. We can also cancel them instore.

Wow op.. barely anyone actually READ your post! op wasn't complaining she was worried about being committed to the item, just that someone should be able to get the items now she doesn't want them.

I agree, when they send a text reservation confirmation, you should be able to send a reply text saying 'cancel' and the item goes back on stock.
