Girona -vs- Reus

Just out of curiosity...i am wondering why with Ryanair it is cheaper to fly to Reus with them than it is to Girona. Both airports are just as close to Barcelona which is the main destination for most of the people who fly these routes with them...therefore why is it more, and sometimes considerably more to fly to Girona than it is to Reus????

Thanks

  • Couldn't say for certain, but having used Reus twice before, it does resemble a cow-shed and other than a duty-free shop, have no facilities whatsoever :rotfl:

Looking at flights from B/mouth to-night for Girona late April came to £57 return for two Inc, staying four days. Never Buy from the duty free shop always cheaper in town.

I was just curious. I have no ida why? Girona is definetly more to fly to, and sometimes much more. Both airports are served by Ryanair on the same days and both are equally close to Barcelona where like i said is the final dstiantion for many of the passengers to both these airports...yet why pay more for Girona?????

Girona is a Ryanair base. Its more popular. Untill recently Reus was only open for Summer season

Thanks...so it is simply more expensive as it is a more popular airport, where as reus only recently has been operating during winter - bummer!! Wish i chose to fly to Reus then as i have paid more to fly to Girona thinking it was more convenient for Barcelona or had some other quality over Reus!!

    Thanks!!
  • The only difference is the Overpriced Duty Free shop at Girona, where Rues doesn't even have a running water etc (Joke). There is NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever.
