Hi,
Any ideas for a holiday around 24/26th March for a week. I would like somewhere warm, culture, greenery, staying at 4* plus half board.
I have looked at gran canaria but cannot decide where would be best if you are not looking for the nightlife/beechlife. I am not sure about India, Egypt, so would welcome any ideas.
Thanks.

I have been to Egypt. I stayed in Hurgharda. It was a long trip to the major attractions so no good if you got kids. Met plenty of students traveling on a budget as it is cheap. I loved it, I went scuba diving ( somthing I thought I would never do) as they talked me into a free lesson. Wow...It was out of this world, one of those "do before you die things" and not scary at all.
A whole day on the dive boat with 2 dives, where the instructor links arms or holds hands constantly- well, while you are in the water anyway-. And lunch all for £35 and reduced to £25 the second trip.
the 2nd most amazing exp. ever on a holiday. Will live with me forever
One word of warning, if you are going to a low rate hotel go self catering as the food is aimed at russians and is dire. Apparently the government done a deal with Russia to bring in more tourists and therefore feed them as cheaply as poss. lots of other places to eat outside hotels and dirt cheap. Would def go back.
I have been to all the canarie islands. would not re visit any of them, personal choice I know. found the people not too friendly and not such good value.
Good luck holiday hunting you lucky thing0 -
Hi,
Thanks for replying. I am also not sure about the Canary Islands. Although, not keen on Egypt or India either.
Which leaves me with a dilemma where to get some sun end of March.
Any other ideas welcome, thanks.0 -

Try Travelcounsellors.com they are just fantastic! they are so up for finding a deal it is unbelieveable!
They are all self employed experienced (Mostly ex high street managers working for themselves and fed up with the "1970 high street format of selling what they want you to have!") they tailor your requirements and get YOU what YOU want including the best prices.
I have travelled with them several times last year and would not use anyone else. I have my own personal travel counsellor who is a delight!0 -
Hi,
Decided on Puerto De La Cruz
I'm flying from Liverpool or Manchester
From 23rd March 2007 give or take a couple of days.
For 7 days.
I have been searching all afternoon and really liked the Hotel Botanico but I can't find a good deal. I have been looking at the top 10 on Tripadvisor.
Anyone can come up with a good deal, I'm all ears for a couple of hours and then I'll be booking.
Thanks.0 -

Try visiting https://www.holidaywatchdog.com for a review of your hotel.
Personally I would have chosen Egypt.
Sun, culture and very very clean0 -
hI,
I'm still looking...
I feel like I have been there and back on my holidays before I've left....
Botanico had only 1 review on watchdog and it was good, number one on tripadvisor.
Not sure where to go in Egypt and where is safe, where have you been?0 -
Botanico is a first class hotel, member of "The leading hotels of the world", but is an expensive hotel.0
