I completed a Notice of Appeal following their rejection and didn't hear anything further. Then I received another document a couple of weeks ago (not sure what it's called) and I ticked the applicable box which stated that I had returned the NoA within the 28 days and had not received a response.

Then this court letter turned up yesterday and I feel like I've blinked and missed something!

So I just sit tight and wait for the council to get in touch with me again?

Kind of important to know what these documents were and when they were sent. Dig them out and post on pepipoo.

Here's a fairly similar case which started here on MSE. The appellant got help from pepipoo and the Council lost at adjudication even though the contravention (not displaying a P&D ticket) did occur:

The Council lost that case purely because they sent a Charge Certificate early.

It is important to see what was sent when, they are not just 'letters', these are statutory Notices. Post about it on pepipoo where the real experts are.
